Date: October 12
Time: 10am – 12:00pm
Every institution possesses a story and that story is made up of people. For over 160 years, SBTS has endeavored to faithfully serve Baptists and the broader evangelical world. However, do you know the stories of the men who built and shaped the seminary? Our story is worth telling! Join us for a SBTS History Tour of the historic Cave Hill Cemetery in Louisville!
- The tours will run from 10:00am – 12:00pm.
- Meet at the library and depart from there to the cemetery.
- Stop at 6 locations including 3 SBTS plots as well as other individuals tied to the history of the SBC and SBTS.
- Open to students, faculty, staff, and visitors. The tours are FREE and will be capped at ten people.
If you have any questions, please contact libraryreference@sbts.edu or call (502) 897-4572. The library hopes to continue to offer this tour periodically so if you don’t get to sign up now, you may be able to soon!
“I always leave Cave Hill Cemetery with fresh gratitude and a deeper sense of stewardship for our seminary’s rich heritage. I am thrilled that students now have the opportunity to visit Cave Hill with such a capable guide as Jake Stone, and I hope that many will soon make the pilgrimage!” – Dr. Eric Smith, Associate Professor of Church History
